Hello everyone!!! ๐Ÿ‘‹ My name is Marco Molossi and this is my first post. With this post I wanted to set some goals and clarify what I will focus on and what this blog will be for.

Why did I decide to write posts?

I am currently in the fifth year of high school ๐Ÿซ and to understand why I started we have to go back in time โฐ a few months. In school they make us do different projects and one of them is to create our own portfolio. I initially made a proposal using WordPress, the tool they taught us, however, I was not satisfied ๐Ÿ˜ž with the result. Since I am passionate about computer science ๐Ÿ’ป the question arises: why not create one myself from scratch? I discarded this idea almost immediately because I don't have enough experience in web development and honestly I want to focus on creating software/videogames, my main passion ๐Ÿ”ฅ. So I started researching and came across Zola. I needed a tool that would give me enough freedom to show what I wanted and Zola gives me that in an extremely simple way, which was a very important requirement ๐Ÿ“Œ since I want to focus more on my main passion. After testing and creating sites to familiarize myself with it, I decided to rely on a theme ๐Ÿฆ† to make things even simpler.

So is this a project intended exclusively for schools?

The answer is no. For a long time already I wanted to create my own site to publish what I do, but until recently I wasn't interested in showing it to the world. Instead, now I now want to turn my passion into a job ๐Ÿ’ผ, so it is essential to have a place where I can show what I work on, what I have worked on, or what I will work on. This need also stems from some personal experiences. A few months ago, for example, I met some people ๐Ÿ‘ฅ and I wanted to show them some personal projects ๐ŸŒฑ but having nowhere except Itch.io, I could not show them anything ๐Ÿ˜ž.

What will happen then on this site?

First, this site will allow me to show myself to the world ๐ŸŒ, so I will certainly post personal projects ๐ŸŒฑ, in the projects section. Also, in the blog I would like to cover topics close to my passions, so things mainly related to computing ๐Ÿ’ป, but also productivity ๐ŸŒณ, or video games ๐ŸŽฎ. With high probability there will also be tutorials of any topic, either to have them as a personal archive ๐Ÿ—ƒ, or to share them.

Programming and Godot

First there will be content related to programming and Godot, an open-source game engine. My adventure with this software started at Christmas 2023, more precisely on December 27, with version 4.2.1 and it was really love at first sight. I was already creating video games a few years ๐Ÿ•™ ago, not really seriously, however Godot completely changed the way I approached ๐Ÿง  the indie world of game creation.

Productivity and Obsidian

In 2020 I started approaching the world of productivity with Obsidian, a program for creating notes ๐Ÿ“ฐ locally. This daily habit in creating notes is essential for me and so I would love to share it ๐Ÿ”— with other people.

Anything else interesting

As other content, I would like to simply bring anything interesting into the world and have other people discover it.

Maybe I've found a program ๐Ÿ’ป that few people know about but it's very useful, or a plugin ๐Ÿงฉ on a program, or maybe even a research ๐Ÿ“ฐ on a topic. It doesn't matter what, as long as it's interesting and worth sharing ๐Ÿ”—.

And that's all...

This is all I want to show and share on this site. Thank you for reading this far.
